About Us
Delta Charter High School (DCHS) is a charter high school located adjacent to the very successful New
Jerusalem (elementary) Charter School in southern San Joaquin County. DCHS opened up its doors to
eighteen 9th-12th grade students on August 27, 2001. While technically dubbed by the State Board of
Education as an "independent study" charter school, in actuality, DCHS is a break-the-mold hybrid blend
between independent study, "not so traditional" site-based instruction, and community-and career-based
learning. We at Delta Charter High School are committed to a partnership for all learners. If you have any
